Detailed Text Solution

Initial investment ratio of A : B : C = 2 : 3 : 5.

For first 4 months:
A = 2 × 4 = 8
B = 3 × 4 = 12
C = 5 × 4 = 20

After 4 months changes occur.

A increases capital by 50% → new capital = 2 × 1.5 = 3
B decreases capital by 1/3 → new capital = 3 × (2/3) = 2
C remains same → 5

For remaining 8 months:
A = 3 × 8 = 24
B = 2 × 8 = 16
C = 5 × 8 = 40

Total capital-time:
A = 8 + 24 = 32
B = 12 + 16 = 28
C = 20 + 40 = 60

Profit ratio = 32 : 28 : 60
= 8 : 7 : 15

Total ratio = 30

B's share = (7/30) × 33000
= 7700.
